SOLUTIONS:
Tripping on Switch-On

There are some device that require multiple starts. These are prone to cause nuisance tripping purely because the system is subjected to more incidents of inrush.

Careful examination of the system may reveal a different point where switching can take place. In two separate cases there were isolation transformers involved, and in both the transformers were being switched and not the load from the transformer.

Changing the mode of operation from switching the load and leaving the transformer powered (thus reducing the amount of inrush) cured the problem.
